I am a Computer Science PhD student at Princeton University advised by Manoel Horta Ribeiro. I am affiliated with the Center for Information Technology Policy (CITP) and Humans and Machines Lab.
I am a Computational Social Scientist who cares about promoting pro-social and pro-democratic interactions between technology and society. My research broadly examines social media and politics with a primary focus on multimodal digital media emphasizing audio- and video-based platforms such as TikTok, podcasts, and radio. I am particularly interested in how humor helps hate spread online and developing methods for researching this phenomenon at scale.
Prior to starting my PhD, I worked as a Research Engineer at the Center for Social Media and Politics at NYU (CSMaP) and a Data Engineer on the Dark Web and Criminal Underground Team at a cyber threat intelligence company. I received my BA in Computer Science and Political Science from Amherst College in 2020. When I'm not researching, you'll most likely find me climbing rocks either indoors or out!
